              Abstract

                     The cross-sectional study of health impact assessment among municipal cleaning work
              employee in Khonkhaen municipality purposed to assess health affected. Which caused by the
              environment of working in terms of physical, chemical, biological and occupational accident includes
              ergonomics working postures. The activities and work characteristics, work risk and impact of health.

              The 220 responses protection of municipal cleaning work employee was carried on January to April
              2014 by used questionnaire for data collecting which consist of 23 sweepers of the bureau of
              public health and environment, 38 of waste staff, 159 of the community sweeping clean staff. The
              result showed that the staffs were 51.36% of male 48.64% of female, the average of age 43.52,
              for educational level most of them 64.54% have graduated in primary school, 20% of secondary
              school, 6.50% of vocational certification 2.14% of bachelor degree or higher and 1.82% of them

              uneducated. The environmental exposure in kind of dust 92.72, 64% of smoke, 13.18 heat, 82%
              noise, 4.54% of pathogens and 65.55% of routine posture. The activities of routine work in the
              characteristic 50% of bend, 5.9% of tiptoe, 8.18% of gaze, 90.45% stand for long time and 15.45%
              of lifting. For personal protective equipment (PPEs) 21.36% of them not wear groves, 45.45% of

              them not wear hat, 88% of them not wear shoes, 79.09% not wear boots, 24.54 not wear long
              sleeved shirts and pants, 19.09% not wear mask and 91.36 not wear eye protection glasses. In last
              one month they have health problem and illness 35% of respiratory system, 9.28 of skin diseases
              and 78.52% of musculoskeletal disorder. They have 20% of personal illness and 1.82% of them
              ever accident during working and 3.18% of them have alcohol drinking behavior and 21.81% of
              them smoking which can attach health problem. However health promotion and health education and

              awareness of personal protection behavior should be necessary for them and government related
              sector to train and take care of them.
